Happy Active Saturday! It’s bright and early in the morning and I’m working on a microbiology enviroment 10 page report.  4 pages down and I’m determined to get that sucker done today.

Yesterday, I was supposed to go to the gym, but here’s the truth.  I had to hand wash a sports bra and it didn’t fully air dry so I didn’t want to go to the gym in a wet bra.  So my workout session ended up at the grand old dirt trails.  I ran for 60 minutes.  And what do I see other than TWO 2-FOOT SNAKES!  I had to jump over them as they were in the middle of the dirt trail.  I screamed like a girl and then ran like a boy.  If that isn’t enough to make someone run a 5 minute mile, I don’t know what is.  I promise to go back to get pictures for my Marathon Sweetheart blog!  Who cares if I get bitten if it means I will get pleasure AND proof of saying I battled a snake?

All my bras will be dry and today’s workout will take place in the gym.  I wanted to bring to you this week’s Weekly Running Quote #5 in the form of a picture.

It reads:

I HAVE THUNDER THIGHS.  And that’s a compliment because they are strong, and toned and muscular.  And though they are unwelcomed in the petite section, they are cheered on in marathons.  Fifty years from now, I’ll bounce a grandchild on my thunder thighs, and then I’ll go out for a run.  Just Do It.

(See my other Nike Women’s ad: “My Butt Is Big” post here.)

I absolutely love this!!!  My legs are one of my favorite things about my body!  I love that they are strong and how running has sculpted them.

“I am grateful for _____ about my body.” Fill in the blank!
