The Country Music Awards were on TV

a few days ago, and I couldn’t help but take notice of Carrie Underwood‘s legs.  They deserve their own award, according to singer Blake Shelton.

Carrie is a well known vegetarian.  Here’s a recent quote:

I’m a vegetarian because I love animals. I grew up on a farm and they were all my pets! So the thought of me or someone else eating my pets kind of freaked me out at a young age.  I’m the most normal person in the universe, but I’m very health conscious. I love working out. I love taking care of myself. We only have one body apiece and it’s going to expire sometime, and I’m going to make sure it’s a long, long time from now.

When asked how she gets her sculpted legs, she said:

God did not bless me with a J.Lo rear end or fabulous arms, but legs are more muscular than the rest of me.  I do squats. I do lunges.  I run.  I try to take a general approach to good health.   I try to take care of myself. It’s all about good health, moisturization, hydration, nothing crazy.

  • 20 Squats
  • 30 Lunges
  • 40 Toe touches (head forward, legs straight, bend down & touch your toes)
  • 50 Second wall sit (sit up against a wall, legs at 90 degrees and hold it!)
  • 100 Seconds jumping jacks
  • 50 Second wall sit
  • 40 Toe touches
  • 30 Lunges (if you really want to feel the burn, try walking lunges!)
  • 20 Squats
No doubt, her legs are something to marvel at.  I love how simple she is and that there is no real secret other than being active and eating healthy.  Yay!
