Hi!  I’m a 23-year-old recent graduate of Texas A&M University.  I fell in love with running again during my college years.  I also had a dramatic weight loss, went vegan, met my best friends for life, and ran a butt load of marathons during those 4 years.  Owch!

Running and health are passions of mine.  I run marathons for guts and glory, not competition and money.  I have spent my college career travelling the world on behalf of a wonderful non-profit organization, Boys & Girls Clubs of America.  I have spoken to crowds of all ages and backgrounds about overcoming obstacles, being a giver, and using your talents and passions to make a mark on the world.  I love fashion, exercise, food, shopping, family, friends, and doing YouTube videos.  Oh yeah, and a little celebrity fitness dish never hurt anyone either!

  10. I wonder if that’s one of the reason that people don’t post comments? That even though you might like what someone writes, you’re not sure how to reply?

  17. Great post, very informative, hopefully it will being some of those lurkers out into the open.

  18. Nice level of details here. There is so a lot data close to about this subject that sometimes you cannot see the wood for the trees but you could have pitched this at just the correct level so that the lay individual can understand – thank you!

  19. @Martin – I very much be of the same opinion with what you are saying here even if one has to consider all aspects of the argument. We can all be to some extent guilty of adopting a rather restricted view to these issues and for the most part, stepping back and observing the ‘bigger picture’ can almost always yield optimistic results.

  20. For your next post, perhaps you can address the issue of commenting addiction, and tell me how to get my life back :)

This domain seems to recieve a great deal of visitors. How do you get traffic to it? It gives a nice individual twist on things. I guess having something real or substantial to say is the most important thing.

Although I’ve emailed you let me just say it on a post, it was nice finding your blog. I’m a Latina who started running less than 6 months ago. I can totally relate to your journey. Keep it up. I’m currently training with a running coach for my 2nd Half in just 10 days yikes! I’m planning on running my first full marathon next February here in Okinawa, Japan. Running marathons here are awesome even though there is a language barrier. The kids give you high fives, thumbs ups and even bows. They are generous in giving out water, sports drinks, sugar, salts, candies. It has been an awesome experience for sure.

  33. Shu Says:

Hey I love your blog! I am a vegan too and a runner as well. I haven’t done anything past a 10k race but I’m working up to a half-marathon!
