After months and months of searching for jobs, travelling between cities for interviews, and using up my savings – I finally have a full time job that I love and that fits with my life. It was really difficult finding a job that would accommodate my lifestyle, which is really important to me. I have time to exercise after work, I can bring my vegan lunches to work, and I get to travel and meet new people. It’s not always stress free, but it has been a growing experience that is only temporary until I go back to school!
Aside from having a job I love, I have been researching two different grad schools and hope to start next fall. One is in Hawaii and the other is in Seattle, Washington! I have all of the requirements for both, so hopefully I will be accepted into them both. What a hard decision that will be! Until then, I will be working hard and saving most of my income to be able to afford the out-of-state move.
The last few months, I have been on a strength training kick! My body has toned up, I’ve gotten tremendous energy, and I no longer fit into my “skinny jeans.” Ha ha ha!
It’s amazing to reflect back on the big changes in my life that have occurred over the last year. I remember breaking down so hard a few years ago, because I felt all of my dreams crumbling before me. I lacked the passion and the drive to go through with my goals. And now I see how beautifully everything has worked out, I know I am right where I am supposed to be.
