And I won’t just tell you.  I’ll show you.

My older sister and I are really close and I had initially invited her to share in this with me.  However, the night before the Coldplay Myolo Xyloto concert, we had an argument.  We definitely needed a day or two to cool off, so I was in serious search for a new date.  I looked no further than my little sister, who is in love with the song “PARADISE” by Coldplay!  That should be enough to get her to come with me, yeah?

It was the perfect date for the perfect concert.

We first stopped off at my favorite running shoe store in Houston – The Texas Running Company.  I tried on some shoes, and the sales person/professional runner there told me I am currently in the wrong shoe size.  I was previously fitted for a 9, but I should be in a 9 wide.  Damn those bunions.

The other day someone made a comment about my appearance and muscle tone.  I don’t remember her exact words, but it was something to the effect of “I would never want to have muscle like you.  You have too much muscle.”

It really saddens me that women have such a negative perspective on muscle.  I understand that I’m a raging feminist and I am all for girl power, and not all women feel like that.  But girl power aside, having a strong muscular system is HEALTHY.  As you get older, you run the risk of less injuries, less falls, and less broken bones.  Your metabolism will stay elevated, and you can afford to eat a few more calories in the day. You can carry all of your grocery bags in the door at once, instead of making 3 trips back and forth to the car.  And not to mention what it will do for your physical fitness level and your self esteem.

There is a new wave of physically fit women taking over the world!  And the more I have exposed myself to this world, the more I am so proud of my strong body.

People invest so much time, money, water, and space into a green lawn.  How about we rock this planet by growing gardens instead?

Yes!!!

“Isn’t man an amazing animal? He kills wildlife – birds, kangaroos, deer, all kinds of cats, coyotes, beavers, groundhogs, mice, foxes and dingoes – by the million in order to protect his domestic animals and their feed. Then he kills domestic animals by the billion and eats them. This in turn kills man by the millions, because eating all those animals leads to degenerative – and fatal – health conditions like heart disease, kidney disease, and cancer. So then man tortures and kills millions more animals to look for cures for these diseases. Elsewhere, millions of other human beings are being killed by hunger and malnutrition because food they could eat is being used to fatten domestic animals. Meanwhile, some people are dying of sad laughter at the absurdity of man, who kills so easily and so violently, and once a year, sends out cards praying for Peace on Earth.”
